Just curious

Postby olddog » Wed Nov 04, 2009 4:59 pm

Today I am going to distill some more gin for the wife, I have done this many times using vapour infusion method with the Frankenstill. This time, just to see what happens I have pulled a scrubber out of my Bokabob and put it into the base of the potstill head just above the bag of herbs. I am curious to see whether this will strip out too much flavour, or just give me a cleaner product.

Well I am impressed, I am well into the hearts now as I post, the result seems to be very clean and smooth, yet still keeping a good strength of flavour. I will be running gin this way in the future its a definate improvement.
