my first run of likker.

Many like to post about a first successful ferment (or first all grain mash), or first still built/bought or first good run of the still. Tell us about all of these great times here.

its cooking right now... after the cut. my first glass of booze rang in at 155 proof. everything is going great. and i expect to get about a liter or so....

im cooking 8 liters of cheap wine at 13% acl. in my reflux still without any packing in the colum.

all in all im happy with how its going.

im definatly getting some ss scrubbers to put in there for my next run with my mash thats ready to go... i want to hit that magic nummber 180proof

it went well... i boild 8 liters, i stoped once it was coming out at 145 proof... yelded about 1/2 liter of 150 proof. not bat for my first trial run. in my opinion.

is there any way to run it faster with a higher proof?

Congratulations, narcolepticpug...

Column packing will increase purity and may also increase output because of the added control that reflux provides... I think you'll find that packing the column will vastly improve overall performance...

Good luck...
