Scrubbers that are safe?

I heard that many scrubbers are not suitable for packing as some may not be stainless and have galvanize coatings or other coatings or paint to give shinny appearance. Is this true and if so what brands do people here recommend to use as packing... Is recently saw chor boy scrubbers that come in both copper scrubbers and ss scrubbers and wondered if they are safe to use as it claims on box claims it's ss or copper and won't rust.... I have heard on some sites go so far as to say never to use scrubbers because of this and possible poisoning.... Anyone eles here have something to add to this and perhaps what scrubbers people here use that are safe for use....

Chor Boy is about the only one I've found that has what they say in the box.

What about 3m ss scrubbers someone said they were good too anyone use this type here???

Most of the good quality scrubbers around here will say 100% copper if they are the real deal... Both Chore Boy and 3M should be 100% copper...

Never had a problem with stainless steel scrubbers but I'm sure there may be some cheap imitations out there... Not really worth the effort to try to clad non-SS with SS because it's not as easy as doing a copper clad via electroplating...

Fastest way to "pick the chaff from the wheat" is use a neodymium magnet (got a dead hard drive laying around?). cheap ripoff scrubbers will stick like S**T to a blanket. SS may stick weakly - copper - no way.
Or soak in vinegar for 24 Hrs. Pitch if there is any sign of rust.
